POLICE officers have been out on patrols throughout East Renfrewshire to educate and encourage compliance with the ‘stay at home’ message to residents.
Whilst complying with their own social distancing during a briefing for their hi-visible patrols at Rouken Glen in Giffnock, officers have been enforcing the nationwide message for people to stay at home and keep to the rules that have been put in place.
Inspector Stevie Scott told the Barrhead News: “We are continuing to put out the message about people social distancing and only taking essential travel - we’re doing that in conjunction with East Renfrewshire Council.
“We’re trying to do engagement and getting around the parks [in East Renfrewshire] - it’s all about hi-visibility at the moment.”
