PIPERS in Renfrewshire are being asked to grab their pipes and pay tribute to the thousands of key workers who are working to keep the country fed, cared for and safe.

The National Piping Centre is encouraging pipers to go wherever in their garden or home they can perform safely on Thursday at 8pm and play Scotland the Brave to show solidarity with key workers.

A spokesperson for the National Piping Centre said: "This rousing tune will demonstrate the gratitude to key workers across the nation, supporting those who are helping to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as hopefully fortifying them to carry on through this tough time."
