Entry was forced through a rear window to the property in Kirklandneuk Road sometime between 7.45am and 6pm on March 31.

The 47-year-old householder returned to discover the break-in where his laptop, £800 in foreign currency, ID cards and clothing were all stolen.

Police said there was as yet no total value of the items stolen and asked any witnesses to contact them on 101.
