GREGGS in Barrhead have been praised for donating food following their closure during the coronavirus crisis.
East Renfrewshire Council took to social media to thank the store, who gave away tasty treats, including yum yums, sausage rolls and steak bakes, which will be distributed to those most vulnerable in the community.
A spokesman for the council said: “A big thanks to the Greggs store in Barrhead who, after closing donated all their lovely food to the council. Our staff are now packing it up and distributing it to the most vulnerable in our community.”
