A PERSON has been struck by a train between Barrhead and Kennishead.
ScotRail confirmed the news on Twitter.
British Transport Police are responding to the incident near Priesthill and Darnley station.
The operator said: "Sadly, a person has been struck by a train between Barrhead and Kennishead."
ScotRail has confirmed services between Glasgow Central and Barrhead have been suspended and services to and from Kilmarnock will be cancelled or revised.
Ticket acceptance is in place with McGills buses between Glasgow, Tradeston, Shawlands, Pollokshaws, Pollok, Nitshill, Barrhead, Auchenback, Barrhead and Neilston.
Passengers for Barrhead are advised to use Neilston services.
