The man was assaulted inside a common close in Pine Crescent
A MAN had to be rushed to hospital after he was pounced on in Johnstone.
The 20-year-old was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital as a precaution following the attack in Pine Crescent, Johnstone, at around 1.35am yesterday.
He was later released and officers have now launched a probe into the assault in a common close.
It is not yet clear how many people attacked the victim but cops say they believe no weapons were used during the incident.
