A RENFREWSHIRE charity is to stage a fundraising event that is sure to deliver some knockout fun.

Accord Hospice will host the money-spinning ‘It’s a Knockout’ event at Kelburne Cricket Club, in Paisley, on Saturday, March 21.

Based on the classic 1970s gameshow, Accord’s very own take on It’s a Knockout will feature weird, wonderful and wacky team challenges, with races in giant suits, Sumo penguins, inflatable hurdles and plenty of foam.

The event aims to raise thousands of pounds for the Paisley-based hospice, which provides palliative care to people across Renfrewshire.

David McFadden, Accord’s senior fundraiser, told The Gazette: “Not only is the event a brilliant opportunity for some fun team-building, the challenges are designed for people of all abilities.

This means anyone can sign up to help raise the vital funds we need to keep offering those in need of palliative care and their families the support they require.”

All those taking part in It’s a Knockout must be aged 16 or over and all teams must raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship, with extra points awarded on the day to the biggest fundraisers.

Registration for the event costs £100.
