A TALENTED schoolboy has been taking centre stage on hit BBC show The Greatest Dancer.
Ashton Bradley, 13, a pupil at Trinity High, in Renfrew, wowed judges as part of energetic troupe Dancepoint.
They have reached the final eight in the dance competition after receiving the highest score of the night on Saturday, with 96.9 per cent of the studio audience turning on their light in appreciation of their thrilling interpretation of the fairytale Snow White.
“I didn’t expect it at all, it was an amazing surprise,” Ashton told The Gazette.
“The reaction from my family and friends back home has been amazing and the support has been absolutely incredible, everybody is so happy for me.”
Ashton opened the first live show of the 2020 series the previous week, starring in the lead role of Aladdin for the group’s debut performance, which he described as “the best experience ever.”
Ashton is now calling on supporters back home to vote for his dance troupe for the international-themed show this week.
“The theme this week is going to be about all countries around the world.
“The dance routine is going to show a graceful side to us, a more beautiful and elegant side.”
Dancepoint will be back in action tonight (Saturday) when the next episode is broadcast on BBC One.
