HEAVY rainfall is on the way for East Renfrewshire this weekend as Storm Dennis batters parts of Scotland.
Cumbria, Northumberland and vast swathes of Scotland have been warned of "blizzard conditions" by the Met Office as snow showers are combined with strong winds.
The Met Office forecast for Barrhead is predicting strong winds and rain for Saturday, which “may lead to some travel disruption,” with journey times of bus and train services expected to take longer.
The fourth named storm of the 2019-20 season, Dennis, is set to bring a second consecutive weekend of wet and windy weather after Ciara struck the UK with winds of up to 97mph.
It follows days of snowfall and heavy flooding across the county and disruption to public transport.
