ROAD conditions are proving treacherous this afternoon after Storm Ciara began dumping snow on East Renfrewshire.
Photographer Phil Hawthorne took this snap of a car that slid off the M77 motorway, looking north towards Junction 4 at Newton Mearns, as police arrived to assist.
The incident, which took place at around 2.45pm, came as Traffic Scotland warned of snow along that stretch of the M77 and told drivers to take their time.

The Met Office originally put in place a 48-hour 'yellow' weather warning for snow and strong winds for much of the country.
But this has now been extended for another 12 hours into Wednesday, with potential for up to 20cm of snow in some parts of the UK.
