Police are probing the assault
BARRHEAD CID continue to probe a violent assault that sent a 23-year-old man to hospital.
A disturbance on New Year's Day around 7.25am saw a group of men fighting with makeshift weapons.
The victim sustained a significant injury to his head and needed treatment.
Anyone with information can contact CID through 101 or Crimestoppers.
