Top basketball players are helping almost 1,000 school pupils in East Renfrewshire master the skills of the game.
Experts from the Glasgow Rocks are giving tips to the children as part of a programme that promotes social and community issues.
The Jump2it project is a partnership between East Renfrewshire’s Active Schools team and Scottish Sporting Futures.
Pupils across eight schools in East Renfrewshire – Carlibar Primary, St John’s Primary, St Mark’s Primary, Cross Arthurlie Primary, Hillview Primary, Thornliebank Primary, Neilston Primary and St Thomas’ Primary – are taking part.
Chris Rose, Active Schools co-ordinator for East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, told the Barrhead News: “The Jump2it programme takes an innovative and creative approach to educate pupils on various social and community issues.
“These include aspects of health and wellbeing, anti-social behaviour, mental health, employability and online safety.
“The pupils are really enjoying the workshops, coaching opportunities and chance to speak to professional basketball players from Glasgow Rocks.
“On top of that, the winning school from each regional final will be invited to compete in the Jump2it Champion of Champions event.”
