DETECTIVES have released descriptions of crooks they fear may be members of an organised gang targeting Renfrewshire homes.

Officers are probing a break-in in Houston, as well as reports of suspicious activity in Paisley and Renfrew.

Neighbours discovered a house in Cunningham Gardens had been broken into at some point between 3pm and 6pm on Wednesday.

Two men were seen surveilling properties in Tylney Road, Paisley, around the same time.

The first suspect is described as being 6ft tall, wearing a skip cap, black jacket, blue jeans, and had his face partially covered.

The second is described as chubby, wearing a blue jacket with curly hair.

It's believed the pair were driving a grey Audi car.

In another incident, a resident in Rothesay Crescent, in Renfrew, saw two men acting suspiciously in the area.

One of the suspects was wearing a skip cap and walking with a limp.

They were said to be driving a dark coloured Audi.

Police have not yet ruled out the possibility that all three incidents may be linked.
