AN East Renfrewshire care home has been given a glowing report card by inspectors.
There were 49 elderly residents at Clarkston House Care Home when the Care Inspectorate made an unannounced visit in November.
Those living at the home, in Stamperland Hill, Clarkston, made positive comments when asked about daily life there, with relatives also providing positive feedback.
According to the Care Inspectorate report, one resident commented: “Due to being bed-bound, staff visit me a lot and we chat and do activities.”
The watchdog rated support for people’s wellbeing at the care home as “very good,” as well as praising the way support was planned.
Inspectors concluded: “We saw a very good level of engagement between staff and residents.
“Views from our surveys agreed with our observations about how staff treated people with compassion and respect.
“Residents benefitted from an exceptionally-high standard of activities which had helped to maintain, promote and develop people’s independence, mobility and wellbeing.”
