A MAN is facing trial accused of stealing a thermometer from a Barrhead pharmacy.
James Anthony Hogg is alleged to have swiped the item from the Boots store, in Main Street, on September 6.
It is also claimed 40-year-old Hogg was on bail over another case at the time of the alleged theft, having been released in connection with a Glasgow Sheriff Court case the day before.
The case against Hogg, of Newton Mearns, called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court last week.
He was not present but a letter pleading not guilty was submitted on his behalf by his solicitors. A trial has been set for March.
