A WOMAN will appear in court today in connection with being in possession of a taser and CS spray.
Police arrested the 36-year-old on Main Street in Thornliebank at 5.15pm last night, November 20.
She was held in custody after it was alleged she was caught carrying a taser and CS spray, a component used for making tear gas - both covered in firearms legislation.
The woman was also found in possession of a lockback knife and a quantity of cannabis, cops told the Barrhead News.
She will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
A spokesperson from East Renfrewshire Police said: "Officers had cause to speak to a 36-year-old woman last night and during the course of this found a taser and CS spray covered under The Firearms Act 1968.
"The woman was also in possession of a two inch lockback knife and a quantity of cannabis, a Class B substance.
"She was held in custody and will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today."
