A BARRHEAD woman has admitted a credit card fraud.

Gillian Dunn pretended, while gambling with bookmakers Ladbrokes and Coral, she was the lawful holder of a debit card in the name of Patricia Dunn.

Court papers reveal between February 8, 2017, and August 1, 2017, she obtained £3,380 by fraud through using the bank card.

It is believed 40-year-old Dunn, of Newton Avenue, had been using the bank card for online gambling while in her home.

She pleaded guilty to the single charge against her when she appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court.

Dunn struck a deal with prosecutors to admit the charge after the value of the fraud was reduced from £6,092.

Procurator fiscal depute Tanjeel Maleque did not narrate the circumstances of the offence in court and Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill deferred sentence until next month.

Dunn could be caged for up to 12 months for the offence.
