Aurs Road has reopened after being closed over the weekend due to emergency works.
The Barrhead to Newton Mearns road had been closed since Friday October 4 after workers discovered underground cables had become wet.
Scottish Power has been on site since Wednesday, inspecting the underground power lines.
Pieces of cable which were found to be "soaked" due to recent heavy rain, meaning the cable had to cut back futher than expected. Contractors will be back on site tomorrow to finish resurfacing.
Scottish Power said that if the fault had not been fixed then power supplies risked being cut.
The road re-opened on Sunday evening.
A Scottish Power spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvencience caused by the works. This is due to the unexpected discovery of wet cables underground."
