A SERIES of events are taking place in East Renfrewshire this month to offer residents advice on a range of issues.

Members of the East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership have teamed up with community and voluntary organisations to jointly host ‘Talking Points’ sessions at a number of new venues.

Professionals and volunteers are on hand to provide tips about health and wellbeing.

Residents can also get information about local groups and activities in their area.

Talking Points co-ordinator Alan Stevenson said: “The events are open to all adults in East Renfrewshire and we are delighted to offer new locations to allow residents to come along and receive help on matters that are important to them.

“I would encourage residents to come along or get in contact with us to find out more on how we can help.

“We have a wonderful list of current and new partners and I’d like to thank them for working in partnership with us to allow this service to be made available to residents.”

The latest Talking Points event takes place at Barrhead Health and Social Care Centre from 10am until 1pm on Tuesday, August 20, Giffnock Library from 10am until 1pm on Wednesday, August 21, and Neilston Medical Centre from 9.30am until noon on Thursday, August 22.
