COUNCIL bosses will meet with the promoters of a new festival to address complaints made by local residents.
East Renfrewshire Council confirmed they received a 'small number of complaints' about Playground Festival at Rouken Glen Park.
It comes after it was revealed the three-day event was marred by a number of issues at the weekend including a late-show by headliner Lauryn Hill on Saturday night and bar queues lasting well over an hour.
Former Fugees star Lauryn, 44, was billed to start her set at 9.30pm but did not appear on stage to almost an hour later.
Her short set, which featured six songs, was then cut by the festival organisers due to an 11pm curfew restriction.
Now the local authority has confirmed that council officers on-site agreed to extend the curfew by 15 minutes.
Many festival fans, however, have called for a refund and slammed the organisers for failing to communicate with them.
The council, however, said they will discuss complaints made by residents with the festival promoters.
A spokesman for East Renfrewshire Council said: "The council has received a small number of complaints and these will be discussed as part of a full debrief with the festival promoters.
“In common with most live events of this nature, a curfew of 11pm had been agreed with the promoters.
"Due to the late arrival of Saturday's headline act, council officers at the event decided to extend the curfew to 11.15pm."
