A BARRHEAD man is facing trial accused of growing and dealing drugs from his home in the town.
Eric Hughes is said to have produced cannabis and planned to sell the class B drug from his home in Carlibar Road.
The 56-year-old is also said to have been in possession of deadly class A drug cocaine in his property, and he is charged with breaking the Electricity Act 1989 - by allegedly tampering with the electricity meter within his property.
Prosecutors claim he "did insert a device in to the meter to prevent the accurate reading of electricity usage."
The case against Hughes called for the first time at Paisley Sheriff Court this week, and was continued until October for a pre-trial hearing to take place, after not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf.
A trial has been scheduled for November, and he is ordained to appear at both hearings.
