Police have launched an investigation after a woman was found injured in a Glasgow city centre lane.
The woman, whose age is unknown, was discovered in the early hours of this morning at Waterloo Lane.
She was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
This morning the lane off Waterloo Street close to Central Exchange was cordoned off by Police Scotland officers as workers made their way to offices nearby.
A local worker told the Evening Times it is understood that an assault had taken place overnight in Waterloo Lane. Offices have also been asked for access to their CCTV as cops continue to investigate what happened to the woman.
The Evening Times, however, understands that officers are working to establish if a crime had taken place or the woman injured herself.
