The incident occurred in Stewart Street
A MAN was arrested following an alleged assault in quiet Barrhead street.
The 38-year-old is said to have punched and kicked another man in the head and body during the incident in Stewart Street.

The alleged victim, 30, was taken to Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital as a precaution but was later released.

The accused, who was arrested after the incident which occurred at around 4pm on Wednesday, was due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
