A COMMUNITY group is hosting a charity concert in Barrhead to raise funds for a lifesaving project.
The Levern Valley Defibrillator Community Partnership (LVDCP) is inviting residents along to the event at Carlibar Primary School on Thursday, May 30.
All cash raised will go towards helping provide access to defibrillators around Barrhead, as well as free Heart Start courses for those who are keen to learn more about CPR techniques.
Performing at the concert will be Levern Valley Community Brass and the Barrhead Ukulele Band.
There will also be music from Greenock singer/songwriter Brian Heron.
Douglas Yates, LVDCP spokesman, said: “This is sure to be another great evening of entertainment, following on from a successful concert at the same venue last year.
“Those who are also interested in enrolling for a Heart Start course should contact me as soon as possible, as classes will be held during the last week of May and the last week of June.”
The concert starts at 7pm and tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children. There is also a £10 family ticket available.
