STAFF at the Orchard Park Hotel, Bar and Grill have something to celebrate after scooping a prestigious prize.
The Giffnock venue won the regional title for East Renfrewshire at the fourth annual National Pub and Bar Awards.
Pete Capaldi, owner of the family-run business, paid tribute to his hard-working staff for helping to make sure Orchard Park stands out from the crowd.
He said: “We have a young staff base and we know that, if our staff enjoy working here, they will have a loyalty to us and the business.
“We are always looking to improve things. We’re a family-run business and, since we took ownership in 2005, we’ve refurbished regularly.
“Whether it’s redesigning the reception or the bar, we’re always trying to keep the customers happy.
“Since 2005, I’d say we’ve spent more than £750,000 keeping the place fresh with refurbs and modernisations.
“Our next project is to refurbish the garden and we’re just about to launch a new summer food menu.”
Orchard Park has been serving the Giffnock area for nearly 30 years and Pete is keen to see the businesses maintain is glowing reputation.
He said: “We want to make this a great place for our customers, whether it is their first time here or they are regulars.”
