SOMETHING huge is on its way to East Renfrewshire...and it promises to be fun for all the family.

Tickets are now on sale for Ice Age: The Lost Kingdom – a prehistoric, outdoor family attraction that will be staged at Rouken Glen Park, in Giffnock.

Europe’s first touring animatronic Ice Age experience will bring to life the sights and sounds of the Ice Age.

There will be models of 40 majestic beasts, such as the woolly mammoth, that once roamed the world we live in some 70,000 years ago.

It is set to be an entertaining and educational day out, where visitors can step back in time and wander amongst the life-size creatures – getting up close and personal with the likes of sabre-toothed tigers and giant sloths.

All animatronic beasts in the experience have moving body parts, wide opening jaws and realistic sound effects.

A spokesperson for the show said: “Rouken Glen is a fantastic, family-friendly park and we can’t wait to show off our new experience. It’s certainly not to be missed.”

The fun takes place from Tuesday, June 22, to Sunday, July 14, with ‘early bird’ ticket prices available for those who book before Sunday, May 19. For more information, visit HERE.
