SCOUTS were joined by leaders and parents as they took part in a sponsored abseil to ‘raise the roof’ back in 2009.
Fundraisers from the 1st Barrhead Scout Group took on the challenge to help pay for repairs to their hall roof.
Ten of them headed to the Glasgow Climbing Centre for the fundraising fun.
The roof of the Scout Hall was in desperate need of repair, with other work, including rewiring, also scheduled.
At the time, Beaver leader Janet Campbell said: “We really need the hall to be fixed.
“It’s used by 40 to 50 children of various ages, from Beavers to Scouts.
“It is also home to Barrhead Burgh Band and the Wildfire Cheerleading and Boxercise group.
“We’re planning to continue raising money for the repairs by holding a table top sale in June and also a family barbecue.”
