CHILDREN who own pets are invited along to workshops that will help them care for furry friends.
Staff at the Pets at Home branch in Newton Mearns will lead the free, interactive ‘My Pet Pal’ events each day between now and Sunday, April 14.
The workshops will focus on caring for small furries, such as guinea pigs, gerbils and rabbits, teaching children the responsibilities that come with owning them but also how rewarding these pets can be.
Five key welfare needs – shelter, food and water, good health, appropriate company and the right living environment – will be covered, with each workshop starting at 11.30am and lasting for 30 minutes.
Book online here.
All kids who go along will receive an activity book, pet stickers and colouring sheets.
