A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after police were called to an incident at a home in Neilston.
Emergency services were sent to a flat in the village’s Main Street in the early hours of Sunday morning and found a 48-year-old man who had suffered serious injuries.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, where he remains in a critical condition.
A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that a 64-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and is due to appear in court at a later date.
He added: “Officers are treating this as attempted murder and are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident. Enquiries are ongoing.”
