A WOMAN was sexually assaulted in Nitshill yesterday while she was pushing her son in a pram.

The 22-year-old woman was walking along Corselet Road, near Langford Drive, at around 3pm when she was approached by a man who made inappropriate sexual remarks to her before grabbing her, causing her to stumble.

She managed to get away and the man ran off towards the lane leading to Langford Drive.

Police are now appealing for information from any witnesses.

The suspect is described as being Asian in appearance, aged 20 to 30 years, of slim build, with stubble and had a local accent.

He was wearing a khaki raincoat with the hood up, light grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Inspector Mark McLennan, of the Public Protection Unit in Govan, said: “Although thankfully not physically injured, this was very distressing for the lady involved and particularly frightening as she was with her young son at the time.

“Officers are currently speaking to residents in the area and checking CCTV in an effort the trace this man. Corselet Road is residential and it’s possible that someone may have either seen or heard the attack take place.
