AN investigation has been launched after a member of staff was racially abused at a store in Barrhead.
The incident took place at a shop in Cross Arthurlie Street at around 10pm on Monday.
Police are following a positive line of enquiry.
A spokesman said: “We take these types of crimes very seriously.”

Elsewhere in Barrhead, a man and a woman were arrested following an alleged racist attack last week.
The incident is said to have taken place in Crossmill Avenue on Thursday morning.
It is understood a 23-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were detained.
The alleged victim is a 28-year-old man.
Police confirmed a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
