MORE than £40,000 has been awarded to charities across East Renfrewshire by The Robertson Trust.
In the region’s largest award, St Andrew’s Parish Church, in Barrhead, received £20,000 towards its community hall extension.
Around £5.5million was shared by 183 Scottish groups for the period September to December, with £40,240 going to East Renfrewshire.
Lesley Macdonald, head of The Robertson Trust’s giving team, said: “We’re anticipating another busy period and would ask any potential applicants to please take note of our upcoming deadlines and ensure they are clear on our criteria, which is detailed on our website.”
