NOMINATIONS are being sought for the 2019 Scottish Social Services Awards.
This is a chance to honour the best in local social work, health and community projects.
The awards are designed to acknowledge innovation and recognise individuals and organisations which help vulnerable people.
Nominations can be made in a number of categories, including a new Policy Focus award that recognises excellence in mental health services.
Maree Todd, Minister for Childcare and Early Years, said: “Mental health touches many lives – from a young person struggling in school to an elderly relative living with dementia.
“It is great that this new special award will help recognise contributions to such an important issue.”
Nominations can be made online at www.sssa.scot
Anyone who is registered with the Scottish Social Services Council or working for an organisation registered with the Care Inspectorate can enter.
Finalists will be announced in March and invited to an awards ceremony in Edinburgh on June 5.
