TIME is running out for community groups and projects in Barrhead to secure their share of a £48,000 cash pot.
The deadline for applications to the Barrhead Housing Association Community Fund is 5pm on Monday, February 4.
This year, the fund is split into two separate strands, with the first strand encouraging project ideas from a young person, aged eight to 26, or youth-focused groups.
A second fund for general community projects will be similar to the previous year’s format.
Any individual or group which is either delivering or proposing to deliver, operate or benefit people within the postcode area of G78 can enter.
The key criteria is that the project must benefit tenants of Barrhead Housing Association, as well as supporting at least one of the organisation's community regeneration objectives.
Groups can apply for a minimum award of £1,000 or up to a maximum of £4,000.
Ideas for projects will be presented to residents at the decision event at Barrhead High School on Saturday, March 2, where guests can vote for the applications they think deserve funding.
Neilston Wasps, Levern Valley Community Brass and Barrhead Men’s Shed were all successful last year.
