MEMBERS of a knitting group in Neilston have raised much-needed funds for a good cause through a sale of some of their work.

The team from Neilston Knit and Natter took over Neilston Library on Saturday morning for a sale of items produced by members throughout the year, with all money raised going to veterans charity Erskine.

Visitors had the chance to browse a fine array of garments, accessories and cuddly toys.

And there was a good turnout of people eager to grab unique early Christmas presents, stocking fillers and tree decorations.

Neilston Knit and Natter members meet at the library at 11am every Wednesday to knit or crochet, have a natter and make friends, with most of their work helping to raise funds for charity.

Launched last year, the group has already helped support homeless people, care homes, rescued animals and children in Malawi.
