YOUNGSTERS, their families and friends all came to Auchenback Resource Centre at the weekend for an event set up to raise funds for sick children.

A table-top sale was held at the centre at the weekend, on Saturday, September 1, to raise cash for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity on its biggest fundraising day of the year.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to grab a bargain from the variety of fantastic stalls on offer, which included toys, clothes, handcrafted photo frames and jewellery.

For those who fancied a break from all the excitement, there was plenty of tea, coffee and cake to refuel on. There was also a raffle with some great prizes and all money from the ticket sales donated to the charity.

And all the efforts of organisers, sellers and visitors proved to be a success as the event raised some much-needed cash.

Every year, around 168,000 babies, children and young people are treated at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

It is the responsibility of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to raise money for the hospital and ensure young patients and their families receive the best possible care.

The table-top sale at Auchenback Resource Centre was held at the same time as the charity’s Sponsored Walk and Fun Day in Govan, which saw over 1,400 participants sign up to walk in support of the brave youngsters in Scotland’s largest children’s hospital.
