Mud was the order of the day in East Renfrewshire on Friday despite the dry weather as outdoor play kicked off the summer holidays.
Greenbank Woodland Play organised their annual International Mud Day event at Rouken Glen Park which attracted a large crowd, with parents and kids travelling from across the area to take part.
The day played host to a pop-up mud kitchen, mud painting and target practice, with the popular mud slide returning after the previous year.
Despite the mess the revellers had a great time, with the hose at the neighbouring vets practice on hand to wash down the kids who were caked in mud.
The East Renfrewshire group caters for three to five-year-olds and promotes and supports physical, emotional and social development through learning in a woodland environment.
