The Evening Times turned daredevil this weekend and tried “the world’s most dangerous ice cream” at a Glasgow cafe.
The Aldwych Cafe And Ice Cream Parlor whipped up the top secret fiery family recipe which is so hot you have to be 18 and sign a disclaimer to taste it. It states there “could be a risk of personal injury, illness and possible loss of life.”

The ice cream - named Respiro Del Diavolo which translates as Breath of The Devil - is 500 times hotter than Tabasco sauce. Staff even need to wear gloves when they dish out scoops.
The first thing I had to after arriving was sign the disclosure.
Despite the written warning that I could actually die, I signed the paper with a smile on my face. That was the last time I grinned.
At first, the initial taste was tame.
For a second, I thought I was going to have to fake my reaction, but then the hotness hit like a flamethrower to my face; my heartbeat raced as my whole mouth burst into flames.
The accompanying chocolate complimented the ice cream, but did little to hide the fiery kick.
Lloyd Bandoni, 18, the master-maker behind the ice cream, has created an absolute beauty of a treat.
Personally I feel as if I took the challenge on like a champ. Would I eat it again? Absolutely. After all, Danger is my middle name - only, I spell it Louise.
