A SCRAP car was stolen from a Barrhead industrial yard.
Thieves struck at A1 Uplifts in the early hours of Monday morning, making off with a £200 Ford Fiesta.
Police have released details of the stolen vehicle in an attempt to catch the culprits.
Inspector John McQuilter, based at Giffnock Police Station, said: "There was a break-in to A1 Uplifts Ltd on Blackbyres Road between 4.05am and 5.15am on Monday morning.
"The front gates were forced open and an old vehicle which was put into get scrapped was driven away.
"It was a burgundy-coloured Ford Fiesta valued at £200. The registration is FJ04 UYX.
"We're appealing for anyone who may have been passing at that time during the morning to get in touch on 101."
