NEILSTON Development Trust (NDT) received a special delivery to celebrate the village being named the best place to live in Scotland by the Royal Mail.
The trust was presented with an Early Day Motion certificate by East Renfrewshire MP Kirsten Oswald.
Ms Oswald chose NDT to receive the honour as she believes it represents the village’s community spirit.
She said: “It was a pleasure to present the Early Day Motion certificate to Neilston by handing it over to Neilston Development Trust, one of the fantastic local groups whose community spirit contributed such a lot to making Neilston score so highly in the Royal Mail’s assessment.
“There is no doubt the hard work of our community groups and volunteers is instrumental in making our local area the best it can be.
“We are very fortunate to live in East Renfrewshire. Our diverse and engaged community, coupled with fantastic schools and access to green spaces, means it should be no surprise we feature highly in the top 10.”
