Nurses will be ready to take donations of blood at St John’s Church in Barrhead on March 27.
Donations will be taken between 2pm and 3.45pm and then between 5.15pm and 7.30pm.
A small sample of blood will be taken from a donor’s finger.
After this, donors will be offered a local anaesthetic before lying on a bed to give 482 mls of blood – which actually equates to less than a pint.
The donation process will last for up to 10 minutes.
