(Drumbrochan Road, Elizabeth Crescent, Link Road and Townhead Street, Cumnock) (Temporary Road Closure, Oneway Operation and Banned Turns) Order 2019
On 05/03/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order. This Order will restrict the use of roads as stated below. These restrictions are required to facilitate Scottish Water's repair works on a damaged sewer and the diverted traffic during those works on Townhead St.
Road closed to all traffic
Townhead St: From Drumbrochan Rd westwards for 146m. Alternative route:-via Drumbrochan Rd, A70 Barrhill Rd/Tanyard/New Bridge St, B7046 Ayr Rd and B7083 Glaisnock St and vice versa.
Elizabeth Cres (excluding the cul-de-sac): from its junction with Townhead St to its intersection with Link Rd and Link Rd: from its intersection with Elizabeth Cres to its junction with Drumbrochan Rd? all vehicles shall travel on these lengths of roads in a north-easterly and south-easterly direction only.
No vehicle shall be permitted to turn right from Elizabeth Cres cul-de-sac onto that length of Elizabeth Cres that is between the cul-de-sac and Townhead St.
No vehicle shall be permitted to turn right from Drumbrochan Rd onto Link Rd. No vehicle shall be permitted to turn left from Drumbrochan Rd onto Link Rd.
Alternative route:-via Drumbrochan Rd, A70 Barrhill Rd/Tanyard, B7083 Lugar St/The Square/Glaisnock St and Townhead St.
The Order shall come into force at 24:00 hrs on 07/03/19 until 24:00 hrs on 18/03/19, or until the sewer works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
