The wins have kept on coming for the Barrhead club and everyone associated with it was ecstatic as they brought back the Johnstone and District Top Ten competition for the first time in their history. The bowlers took to Crofthead Bowling Club to face Erskine BC in the final. Confident heading into the tie, the Barrhead bowlers came away 3-1 victors to lay their hands on the trophy.

On the same day the juniors won the Govan Junior League title in only the second year playing in the league. The side of Jaclyn Neil, Jonothan Neil, Daniel McCusker, Chris Patrick, Sean McCusker, Cameron Murray, Alex Limpitlaw and Lindsey Murray earned the side a well-deserved victory.

Elsewhere the club champions were announced, with the youngsters staking their claim as well. Lindsey Murray, fresh from the juniors success, became the youngest player, and the first junior, in the history of the club to win the Ladies Championship.

Davie McCusker, father to Sean and Daniel, was victorious in the men’s competition as he was crowned men’s champion.
