The team of Jonathan Neil, Daniel McCusker and Jaclyn Neil showed true champions material as they returned to reclaim their title for the second year running.

The trio beat off competition from Glasgow, West Lothian, Stirlingshire, Dumbarton and Clackmannan to reach the final stages in Dunblane.

Even in the closing stages they showcased a calmness about their play which seen them overcome Annan BC in the semi-final with a 14-9 win.

That result set up a final with Wardie BC of Edinburgh, where once again they ran out comfortable 17-6 victors to get their hands on the salver once again.

The trio will once again be looking to win the title next year as they go for what would be three in a row.

Success at Arthurlie BC has not been restricted to the junior section, with the adults also showing they are in top form.

Arthurlie’s ladies won the West of Scotland District Triples competition with Ellen Murray, Margaret Campbell and Helen Craig.

A joint time also successfully defended the Arthurlie Plate against teams from Barrhead and East Renfrewshire. The mens team was Adam Bell, Davie McCusker, Andy Meeten and Gordon Johnston. The ladies team was comprised of Anne Neil, Annette Urguhart, Matt Hickey and Margaret Campbell.
