The club hosted its first medal of 2015 last weekend and the members who participated were the first to be able to register for the event which will be hosted by Fereneze GC’s PGA Professional, Scott Garrett.

The tournament will follow the same format as in previous years with teams of two players playing in a four-ball. Best gross and net scores will count at 3/4 handicap (up to a maximum of 18).# Entrants must book to play in the Pro Shop, the cost is £15 per team and must be paid at the time of booking.

Scott is busy preparing for the event which he hopes will be as successful as in previous years.

He told Barrhead Sport: “I am really looking forward to hosting this year’s Pro’s Day at Fereneze Golf Club.

“It is a fantastic day, not just for me, but for all the members as there will be special prizes and lots of fun activities taking place on the course and in the clubhouse.

“I really hope as many members as possible will book to play this event and help make it as popular as it has been in recent years.” Each participant will receive a goody bag before teeing off and there will be a host of prizes on offer which will be announced before the day of the competition.

There will be ‘light’ refreshments on offer at the fourth hole and a variety of other fun offerings happening on the day.

Scott is currently offering members and non-members six half hour lessons for the price of five at only £100.
