The Travellers Rest are offering fight fans a unique 10 per cent discount on a meal for two to any person who has a ticket for Morrison’s next fight.

A spokeman for the restaurant said: “We were more than happy to get behind John-Ross and we wish him every success for the future.

“He has a good head on his shoulders and I’m sure he can go all the way in the sport. We need more positive role models like him in the community so it’s important that we help the ones we have.” They are the fourth company to get behind JR and offer a similar sort of deal to ones already established.

ESU already have discounts from Musclebound in Paisley, and Outlaw Ink in Glasgow are offering fans more for their money, the combined discounts add up to more than the ticket price itself so fans are getting a good deal for their money.

Morrison’s manager Vinnie McWilliams reckons the deal is fantastic news and benefits everybody all round.

He added: “The Travellers Rest deal is brilliant for everyone concerned, now the fans get extra value for their fight night tickets and the Traveller’s Rest can get some extra business as well so everyone is a winner.

“I would personally like to thank John at the Traveller’s Rest for his contribution in taking our lad to the top. I’ve been to the Rest a few times now and the food really is second to none so the fans are in for a real treat.” Morrison faces his toughest test to date in the form of French superstar Abdoul Toure on March 20 at the Rivals Sport Centre in Wishaw.
