More title success for John-Ross

KING of the ring John-Ross Morrison added to his collection of honours after winning the SFMA Scottish title at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.

This makes mixed martial artists the most successful ring sports champion that Barrhead or Neilston has ever had to offer and adds to his other five titles.

Head coach Vinnie McWilliams is delighted with the progress he is making and is sure John-Ross is going to be a superstar in the sport in the not too distant future.

John-Ross will be taking his biggest challenge to date when he contests for the Scottish SFMA title which is a weight class above the title that he has already, against tough veteran Dub Buchanan from the SMTC.

Vinnie said: "This will surely be John-Ross' toughest test to date but I have every confidence in him, he shows quite a mature head on his shoulders in this game for somebody so young.

"I must say win lose or draw I really am quite proud of him."
