ARTHURLIE will look to get their first league win of the season when they travel to Ayrshire to face Troon on Saturday.
The Dunterlie Park side will be feeling hard done by after only registering one point from the first six available in the opening two games.
Saturday’s clash with Kilbirnie Ladeside saw the Barrhead club squander a host of chances and have to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Stevie Kerrigan’s side will be eager to get a victory as quickly as possible to ensure they aren’t in the mix at the bottom of the table, with a top-half finish being Lie’s target for the season.
Troon beat Kilbirnie 3-1 on the opening day of the season before losing by the same score to Arthurlie’s Southside rivals Pollok last Saturday.
Gordon Burns’ Troon will be buoyed by some strong performances in the Sectional League Cup, they romped to a 10-0 win over Maybole in the group stages and were only eliminated by a narrow 2-1 defeat to Auchinleck Talbot in the quarter-final.
Kick-off at Portland Park is at 2pm.
