NEILSTON Juniors were once again left to rue the weather on Saturday as their Central League Cup tie with Bellshill Athletic at Brig O’Lea was called off.

The Farmer’s Boys have now been out of action since their 1-1 draw in the Central District First Division at Dunipace on March 19.

Weather permitting, Robert Graham’s side can now look forward to two upcoming home fixtures in the battle to stave off the threat of relegation.

On Saturday Neilston welcome title-chasing Renfrew to Brig O’Lea, kick-off 2pm.

The reverse fixture at New Western Park ended in a 4-2 win for Frew who are now top of the league and chasing a Super League return.

Neilston will be hopeful of an upset to give them some breathing space in the league, they are currently just two points above the drop zone.

Next week Neilston are again at home to Larkhall Thistle.
