The trophy will be played for in memory of ex Lok star and current Lie assistant Stevie Aitchison’s father-in-law who passed away earlier this year.
The two teams will play for the trophy each year in the Sectional League Cup section.
Aitchison told Barrhead Sport: “The family came up with the idea after Joe sadly passed away in April of this year.
“He was my father-in-law and a massive follower of Pollok, and he really loved the derbies with Arthurlie. With my connection now with the club we thought it would be a great way to honour his memory and that is how we chose to start the trophy.
“He was a great man and someone I had a great deal of respect for.
“Saturday will be an emotional day for the whole family, and I’m sure there will be a few tears — but at the end of the day it will simply be a great tribute to a great man.”
